Rodney Burrell, CEO of Rodelle, a holding corporation based in Tampa, Fl has been in talks with the Dohring Group, and The City of Tampa to purchase and renovate an entire city block into a Fashion District. The Fashion District will consist of 15,000 square ft of art galleries, retail boutiques, cafe, and various other shops.
Plans for converting other spaces into apartments will also be executed after funding is secured. Burrell, 28, and his partner, Danielle Styron, 24, are shaking things up in the Tampa area as they prepare to embark on a journey that many have failed to execute.
When asked about the project, Burrell quoted,\\\" I want The Tampa Fashion District to be a mainstay in the history of Tampa Bay. As you can see, NY and LA\\\'s Fashion districts generate billions of dollars each year for their respective cities. They have changed the face of dodgy neighborhoods and brought back culture, and pride. That\\\'s what I want to accomplish in Downtown Tampa. This area that needs a serious shot of life, passion, and culture.
Firms plans have not been executed, as the company is said to be raising some 20million dollars for the purchase the entire block of Franklin and Tyler. The Fashion District is expected to launch in July of 2009.
